Unbothered is the brand of serenity that underpins every swift shift of emotion in eyes so dark a brown they're nearly black, unmoved in the face of life's travails. Darker still, the hair once-long and twisted into untamed ropes and now forms a veritable wealth of curls: it's a proud aurora about his head, tinged with the subtle gleam of reddish gold, as full and thick and soft as one might wish. His brows are perfect, twin arches and his nose an elegant snub over a rosebud mouth that seems to twitch slightly upward in eternal mischief, while the deep golden brown of his complexion only sets the scruff of beard into greater incongruity. From a supple torso extend hard-trained limbs extend, right down to hands slightly larger than absolutely necessary. Not especially tall, he seems so anyhow: draconic Impression has deepened the well of centered certainty and pride.

The Druid

He was a quiet child, given much to introspection and meditation. Often, he would be found sitting alone, contemplating the movement of nature around him rather than engaging the other boys his age in rough and tumble games; he seemed aloof, apart from it all. Oh, he had as much mischief in him as any boy, though his games and tricks were of a gentler variety, evoking the innocently playful spirit of some long-distant Earth sprite: fragrant flowers planted to bloom in unexpected places, bringing lively cheer to the dreary cave, or instigating little adventures and stories to bring them through the dull and lean times as the group hunted and gathered. He was the pride of his family, and occasionally even indulged, though discipline was strict among the Chayeeli tribe. As he got older, it became obvious he had leanings toward the healing arts: there was a patience in him, a serenity of spirit that was heavily nurtured. By the time he Turned seven, he had begun assisting the little tribe's herbalist, learning the ins and outs of herbal lore and the healing of a person’s spirit as well as their body. At twelve, his training began in earnest, and he earned the right to begin cultivating his dreadlocks by thirteen.

Now, Ibrahim was a very curious boy; it was said that he had double the dose of a normal boy. And that curiosity led him to briefly join the Seacraft while the group visited extended family who elected to move to Black Rock Residential, for he also had a love of the sea and fishing in addition to his duties as healer and gatherer. Despite his family’s objections, off he went, only to become embroiled in piracy when he met with some young ruffians involved in smuggling. Within a Turn, his part in providing boat transport along the shores of Tillek was found out, and he was rejected from the Craft and sent back to Southern, as his part had been small and incidental in the larger scheme of things.

Back with his family, the now fifteen Turn old Ibrahim was enjoined to continue his studies, and a marriage arranged; it was thought that it would settle his newly restless spirit. But by then, Ibrahim had learned the value of choice, of seeking out knowledge, and could not seem to fit himself into his old roles, though he learned with a will and became as experienced as a non-Craft-trained healer could be. Alternative medicines, poisons (and how to counteract them, or ease symptoms in fatal ones), massage — he was adept.

Soon, the Weyr caught his interest, and he began to spend time there, intrigued by the goings-on there. And he began to insinuate himself into the Infirmary, for he always, always looked forward to learning more about medicine, unorthodox as his ways are. And there was Amani, a young candidate, whom he developed a deep interest in. THeir relationship lasted roughly two Turns. Single again, he retreated further into himself, dedicating more time to healing and herbs than relationships.

Recently, he agreed to stand for the double clutch on the Sands, though he'd refused the previous clutch, unwilling to be told he must by the now-deposed Telgar Weyrleader. And from that clutch, he came away with a blue dragon - Kusheth, the wild, loud, crass young dragonling making his life quite interesting, and became A'mir.
