Rank Runner
Origin Trader
Played By Krysten Ritter

Description

An inch-wide forelock of white just above Devra's left temple looks all the brighter against her darkly black hair, cut in a bob that ends just beneath her chin. Sharp and severe, her narrow features are nonetheless fresh with a youthful glow that has yet to fade. A smattering of freckles and a natural blush save her complexion from being too pale, which looks more likely to burn than tan if exposed to long hours in the sun. Her figure is trim enough to suggest a healthy balance between appetite and activity, though she's a few inches short of average.

Sensible and tidy, but not without a fashionable touch here and there: a dark green leather vest that looks to have a useful number of pockets hangs open over a linen shirt. This she's tucked neatly into a belted pair of sturdy pants, and those funnel into a pair of boots that match the vest closely. The buckles of her boots and her belt all seem to be a matching set. Their silver shines without a hint of tarnish, and rows of embossed stars add an interesting dynamic. Every now and then, a glittering star pendant hung from a thin silver necklace flits in and out of the scooped neck of her shirt.

Common Knowledge

Devra's friendly enough, though a keen observer would note even her best smile holds a touch of reserve and never seems to reach her eyes. She laughs a little more freely with a cup of wine in hand and knows how to give and take a few ribald jokes, at least.

She's as sturdy in form as she is in temperament — which has recently helped her secure a job as a resident Runner for the denizens of the Weyr and its Bazaar. Being young, new to the area and not having much to show for herself other than a commendable work ethic so far, it's unlikely she has any old friends or arch enemies waiting in the wings or caverns of the Weyr.

That streak of white in her hair is hard to miss, though, and makes it easy to point her out even if she's still just another face in the crowd.

History

When pressed, she recounts a nondescript upbringing as a Trader's daughter in one of the smaller, lesser known clans.
