Will I be something?
Am I something?
And the answer comes:
You already are.
You always were.
And you still have time to be.

Description
There's something about this woman which comes across as no-nonsense, even at first glance. Perhaps it's the way her oft kohl-lined brown eyes appear to study the world so critically, or maybe it's the usually firm set to her lips which lends her a look of severity even when relaxed. Her cheekbones are high and pronounced, creating a sharpness which is only softened when she smiles. Her dark hair is chopped to a length just above her shoulders with bangs kept trimmed and well out of her eyes, artfully messy and yet utilitarian at the same time, suggesting a roughness hidden just beneath the surface. Her naturally tanned skin is further darkened by Igen's relentless sunshine. While her body doesn't lack curves, her toned arms and lean physique speak to a life of athleticism not often seen in the 'traditional' woman. There's confidence in the way she carries herself; the sure step of someone who knows the value of what she brings to the table.
In spite of the usual heat, this young woman seems most often found in dark leggings and boots. She does bow to the weather somewhat, most often seen in a sleeveless top (usually white) when she's not working. Her clothes are fitted but utilitarian in nature, meant to look decent while still being largely functional.
Common Knowledge
- Arrived at Igen Weyr roughly eight turns ago (on 28.3.15.12).
- Not too fond of talking about anything that happened before she arrived at Igen. Or herself.
- Workaholic, occasionally to her own detriment.
- Very vocal feminist, and will always support other young women who try to move up in the ranks.
- Strong fighter, well-trained in both hand-to-hand combat and swordfighting. Devotes a good deal of time to continuing to improve her skills.
- Loves to run.
- Ambitious; Wingsecond won't be enough for her for long.
- Would much rather spend her time patrolling in the bazaar than anything else; being a guard is her preferred role in spite of Oriahysciath's natural ability when it comes to fighting thread.
- Speaks with a Fortian accent; her Bitran origins aren't mentioned.

Themesongs
History
Eventually, she found her way to Igen Weyr. The strange relationship between Weyr and Bazaar caught her interest, and after spending a bit of time between the two, Ealasaid eventually decided to take up a post as one of Igen Weyr's guards. It proved to be a job to which she was very well suited, but one which would not last. She was searched for the clutch hardening on the sands, and on hatching day found herself forever entangled with green Oriahysicath.
Weyrlinghood had its bumps and bruises, but Eala's stubborn determination was matched only by that of Oriahysciath, and together they made a powerful (if slightly frightening) team. Upon graduation she was tapped for Parhelion, and was thrilled to find a way to return to the work she loved so much, at least in part. As with all things, she dove headfirst into her new position, putting in extra hours and proving herself to be the very definition of a workaholic. A couple turns of hard work earned her a Wingsecond's knot. It seemed like her life was finally on track… and of course, that's when the past caught up with her.
The news from home was grave enough that Eala put in for an immediate transfer to Benden, leaving with only the necessary farewells and very little in the way of explanation beyond an "emergency at home." Though no one at Benden would ever remember her as a slacker, she spent much of her time there outside of the Weyr whenever possible, handling her personal concerns. It took several turns, but in the end the "problem" was dealt with, and Eala and Oriahysicath were finally able to return home to Igen, accompanied by a 9-turn old girl raised by her sister.
Now that all of her problems are behind her, she can finally focus on her work as Parhelion's Wingsecond (again), and where a job like that can eventually take her. This time, there won't be any distractions.
