Description

Though unruly, this young woman's curly hair is kept tamed by the length weighting it down. When left unstyled, it reaches her shoulder blades. Most often, the curly red tresses are pulled back into a braid or runnertail, to keep it out of her face better. Above a gentle nose, green eyes dance beneath well groomed, narrow eyebrows. A gentle mouth with full lips gives way to a stubborn chin, and her face is marred only slightly by a small, somewhat jagged scar on her left cheek.

A young woman with warm skin tones, Ilissea burns easily, and then tans. The callouses on her hands suggest she is no stranger to work. Her breasts are well formed, and her figure is slender and slightly curvy. Colored pigment and charcoal often stains her fingers.

Ease of movement seems to be crucial in this young woman's apparel: an airy, cream colored undertunic accentuates her warm skin tones, while a light blue tunic brings out the green in her eyes. A brown pair of capri's accentuate her trim legs, and a pair of strappy sandals secure easy movement.

Thunder's Savage Romance Green Minucovith

Misty light and deep forest green hide stretches tight and shiny over an elegant form, subtly highlighting muscles and delicately strong features. A narrow muzzle and prominent cheek bones widen the helm-like head; the neck twiggy in comparison. Strokes of sparkling golden flesh wrap down each headknob, embracing an empty swatch of dark leafy hue in the center. Willowy ribs bow into an armored cage with a rosy breastbone. There, darkest emerald flows over rounded shoulders along the wings, pale coral underneath upon the sails. Verdigris stretches across the muscular trunk down to a rounded point on the lower abdomen, freckled flush and ruddy. Upon her hind legs, paws dipped in pine join to narrow viridian hips. Kelly banded forelimbs are definable with sharp claws. An elegant tail curls out from her back side, composed largely of light moss and lightning green splashed, pea-tinted ridges that run from the back of the head down to the spade tip.

She can be painfully shy among people she doesn't know well, and even around people she does know.

She hails from Ista Island.

Minucovith found her upon the Sands, and claimed her. Since then, the shy young woman has become increasingly more vocal…around other Weyrlings. Among the Weyrlingmaster staff her answers are as short and concise as she can make them; among almost anyone else, her shyness is still as it was before.

Ilissea doesn't balk at dirty tasks, but hates watching dragons hunt and eat.

History

Born to a cotholder on Ista Island, the young woman grew up with three brothers respecting (tenaciously) dragonriders and their large lifemates. Her mother and father had lived on Ista Island all their lives as well, rarely leaving it. At least it meant that Ilissea knew how to swim…and surf. As runners were one of the precious things her family had, she even knew a little bit of how to ride.

A little bit.

When Ilissea went on a trip with her mother to Southern Barrier Hold, she hadn't expected to find herself Searched. Lord Warder Renalde had misunderstood her presence, saw she had nothing with her and no knot, and all but forced the items upon the young woman. He probably would have thrown her on the dragon himself if he'd been able.

Ilissea's head still spins when she thinks about it.

Candidacy was an uneasy experience for the young woman. So many people; so little privacy; so much implied. So much expected.

How she made it to the Hatching, she wasn't sure.

But somehow, somehow she did. It was as many of the eggs had already cracked shell and Impressed that Minucovith found her, tackling the girl and leaving a series of permanent scars on her chest from her talons. Ilissea didn't notice the pain or the blood until the next day.

Since then, she has struggled through Weyrlinghood bit by bit. Having one of the smallest dragons out of everyone has not made things easy — in fact, the pair had to wait a whole extra sevenday before they would even let Ilissea ride her on the ground. But that was not the least of the issues. Minucovith has a talent for…well, getting into trouble. Even if just accidentally.

It's not unusual for the pair to be punished with extra PT or chores.

Ilissea suspects her little green even likes it that way.

She has not seen her family since being Searched. Well, other than a brief moment when she saw one of her brothers with his lifemate — he had Impressed a couple of Turns ago — but other than to reassure her the rest of the family were okay with the path her life had taken, she hasn't seen him, or any of the rest of them since. Ilissea hopes he wasn't lying.
