Description

A mountain of a man, done in darkness and dismay: he stands only 6'2, though his bulk fills him through with the mass of a man a half-foot larger. He is grim and he is the reaper, dark skin, dark eyes, hair carefully, immaculately shaved to leave only his shining pate. He is not a beautiful man, except for his voice, which rumbles as rock-chips between the millstones: the depth of the earth, within and without.

Common Knowledge

Came forward with the oldtimers due to the fact his worldview mirrors their traditional views on many things.
Oldtimers would remember him as a dour but competent member of Inferno, pre-move.
His green Ilayth is one of the biggest greens on Pern; only Khetanaxeroth of Igen can match her. She outsizes many of the nowtimer blues.
He's, ah. A… jerk.
He stayed at Igen only long enough for Southern to be founded, and followed his time-kin down to the South.
He was appointed new Southern Weyr's first Weyrlingmaster by Weyrleader Q'fex.
After Q'fex's Kraakenaeth suffered a catastrophic Fall accident, Ja'kai was appointed Acting Weyrleader.
