Description

Auburn strands fall neatly from this young man's head, feathered and short across the back where it seems to drift gently with each and every movement. In the front of his face, the silky strands remain long where they begin in a simple part over his right eye and fans out over the left, ending at his chin. Through those strands a pair of pale eyes peer through, green in hue and narrow in shape. His lips rest in a thin line, his complexion lightly tanned with faint freckles residing below such deviant eyes. He looks to be 5 feet tall, eight inches in height.

Ashen shades engulf this young man's coat with sleeves covering his slender arms where they rest at his fingertips. Snug across the chest being held together by nothing more than simple clasps of braided loops and buttons, it falls loose around his waist with small interwoven knots of blue adorning the hem along the bottom. The same intricate knots also rest upon the downward folded collar. Thick ebon pants are worn, the folded cuffs falling comfortably atop boots rich in daily wear and tear.

Common Knowledge

  • Kairmine would make a horrible wing-man. Doesn't know what flirting is.
  • Generally quiet and introverted outside of his duties. Catch him on duty and he'll say more than three words. Outside? Proceed at your own risk.
  • Puts the 'wet blanket' in 'Weaver Apprentice'.
  • Has gaudy wooden fish as rival.
  • Resting bitch face.
  • Searched by Divale (and, technically Naneska) to stand for Igen's double clutch, impressing green Vedziyath.

Uncommon Knowledge

  • Weepy and depressing drunk.
  • Possible hatred/phobia of sock puppets

Relationships

*SNORTS* I'm leaving this section up to my fellow Candidates. Do your worst. ;) <3

Ryker: My favorite forever and ever. @.@ <3 #hottiewiththebody #censorboxcontents #favorite #betterthanjinorav

Aleirian: Dis boy too quiet. Needs to take da stick outta his ass. Nice 'nuff, doh.

Jinorav: Jin x Kair OTP. Forget that asshat Ryker, Jinorav is love. Jinorav is life. Jinorav is the only man I'd make lacy underthings for.

Doji: Don't listen to those guys! Doji is clearly the BESTEST! She knows what's going on and will make sure you don't die and stuff. That's important! And there was a goat too.

Naneska: She isn't even a candidate, but THAT IS HOW AWESOME SHE IS! (Has I one upped Doji yet?). Also they don't really talk, there are no need for words

History

There’s nothing extraordinary about Kairmine’s life, nothing so amazing that it’s mentioned anywhere with more than a vacant stare and a shrug in return. He was born and raised in a small cothold on the Keroon prairies along with his parents and his nine sisters. Nine. As his sisters came of age, they were married off to other families to improve their qualities of life. Some married for luxury, some for necessity and maybe because their groom was a debt repayment to their parents. Gambling is bad, kids. Don’t do it! Unfortunately his parent’s luck ran out with one sister, apparently too ugly to be married off, even if the bride-price offered would’ve left his family in ruins. Oh well, we can’t all win, can we? As the only son of his family, it was his duty to join a notable and worthy craft, something to bring pride to his already strained family, but much to his parents protest, he joined the boring and quiet life of a Weaver. It was a welcome contrast to the loud and obnoxious braying of his sisters in tight quarters. Time took him to Igen Weyr as an apprentice under the strain of a constantly rotating door until one managed to stick around long enough to make a difference in the young man’s life. What did Igen do to Journeyman?! Throughout his apprenticeship, Kairmine kept to himself, throwing himself full swing into his studies so opportunities to create lasting relationships of any capacity were scarce to none. Social skills outside of conducting business? Severely lacking. Romance? Don’t hold your breath. Noting this unfortunate acerbic facsimile of a human being, his Journeyman has made it a note to provoke him whenever possible. He’s capable of emotions, right? Only time will tell if he shapes up to a tolerable and maybe respectable human being.

Firelizards

Dulcinea: Long, graceful lines define this tired green. At first look, she seems wearied, eternally exhausted by the weight of the world. Even at a young age she's an old soul, dismal cynicism in every move. Her hide is a dull, dusty green in direct sunlight, but in just the right light - as candlelight glints off her hide or the last vestiges of dusk scatter across her hide - she's a creature of incomparable beauty. In those fleeting moments, her hide becomes the deep, rich green of a boreal forest. She is a creature that desires - nay, demands - her space, treating others with a mild hostility, but in time, fierce loyalty can be coaxed from her.

Grim: Pyrrhotite bronze flecked with twilight ash envelops his form, but its not the most noticeable thing about the bronze. His right eye is gone, knitted over by smooth flesh. A wound from fighting, perhaps, considering the creature's penchant for aggression. His head is all sharp angles, with headknobs set like cruel horns. Jagged neckridges veer this way and that, tipped in glowing jasper. His claws, too, are a black midnight, shaped for cruelty, even as the bonespars of his wings are.
