Congratulations on impressing a dragon here at Ista Weyr! We hope that he or she is everything that you could want in a lifemate, though this inspiration is just a guideline for how to play your dragon. You are not required to follow all or any of it. The dragon is /yours/. Members of SearchCo have put many hours into the creation of your dragon, and we are excited to see how you develop the personality in your own, unique way. –Orbit

Hatching Message:

Heady Incense Egg trembles as cracks appear, marring the dark patterns that envelope it’s shell. First, a single shell shard flakes off to drift onto the sands, then another joins, before yet another. Within seconds, a torrent of shell shards falls to the sands in a spiral from the top of the shell revealing it’s occupant to the world.
Born of Sun and Flame Bronze Dragonet

Flames lick up along a sinuous neck to wrap about headknobs, the ruddy color fading into the dying embers of the darkly bronzed hide that cloaks the body, fore- and hindquarters. Faded light gleams along wingspars before flaring to blazing luminance on flamboyantly rust-hued wingsails. Wingsails are the only site of perfectly in-the-lines coloring; elsewhere the smoldering darkness blazes to life in brief stretches of brassy imperfection. Even if at a distance mistaken for a brown due to the slight, for a bronze, form and dark hue, closer inspection proves that a metallic fire burns yet in the soft hide, a luster well hidden.

Impression Message:

Born of Sun and Flame Bronze Dragonet moves slowly, lifting his head to sniff at the air, catching the scent of something he likes and moving in that direction. Brown eyes paired with brown hair catches his eye as he turns toward white clad candidate, tilting his head to study closer for a moment. Stepping yet closer, his wings draw back and his head moves forward to claim his one, his Jayden.

Personal Impression Message:

Hot. Red. Golden bronze. Deep, rich, warm colors envelope your mind along with a sudden rush of heat, smoky tendrils dripping, flickering, tiptoeing their way deeply into your mind, seeking, searching, finding. Deep, smoke roughened voice exclaims, « I’ve found you. You’re mine and I am yours and together we shall do many things. I am Heliuth. »

~*~ INSPIRATIONS ~*~

Name Inspiration:

Heliuth comes from the god Helios. Plus it just seems to be a very bronzy name to me.

Egg Inspiration:

Description Inspiration:

Heliuth's description was based on your wants of a bronze. He's fire and flame, as well as muted, with just a hint of that inner glow peeking out. He's small, we tried to include that in there as well.

Mind Voice:

Heliuth's voice is rough, deep and smoke tinged. He has a whiskey voice, one of those adoribly sexy deep raspy ones. When he speaks, your mind is set aglow with flames, the color spectrum rangeing from the deep blue violet and white of the inner flame as well as the clear orange of fire. Heliuth simply lights up your mind with his very presence. His mind scent is like wood smoke, freshly cut pine, and the clear clean scent of the woods after a hard rain.

Physicalities:

Heliuth is small for a bronze, almost more brown sized than bronze. There are quite literally one or two of the larger browns that are as big as or bigger than your lifemate. He will be graceful for his size, the clumsiness of flight and learning to move lasting a much shorter period of time than for some of his other clutchmates. His movements will almost never be awkward, unless he is recovering from an injury. While he is smaller than most other bronzes, his tail, wings and feet are matching him in size. There is nothing out of proportion on your dragon, he is perfect, although tiny. His hide will tend to be dry and will need much oiling as to insure that it won't be dry though.

Personality:

Helios was the god of the sun in greek mythology. Your dragonet is based off of him and a little sun god he'll surely be. Heliuth will worship the light from the sky, any light that gives warmth. Glows won't be of any interest at all to him, but you may have to talk him out of a bonfire on your ledge at night. He will love a nice sunbathing on the beach, or in the bowl, or in the field, at the hold.. he'll even be happy to simply stretch his wings out in the sun for a quick flight around the hold.

It's not that Heliuth is lazy, exactly. He's just not in a great big hurry to do things now, to be first. « But J'den, there's all day to do that..» will be his catch phrase. Heliuth just believes that while there is still daylight, there is time in which to do things. He's steady though, and once he sets his mind to a task, he will carry it through to the end. When it comes to threadfall he will be a determined fighter, one of the last to leave the battlefield, perhaps needing to be ordered to it by his wingleader.

Despite his small stature, Heliuth has no concept of the need to prove himself equal to the larger bronzes of the weyr. He simply knows deep within himself that he is worthy, and he has the same confidence of you. « We are a fine pair, aren't we J'den?» will be often commented when he has been freshly oiled and you are finely dressed in your best leathers. Speaking of which, Heliuth will always demand the best for you, if given the choice between two sets of leathers, he will invariably choose the finer set, should you ask for his advice. If you are visiting the hold, and by chance you happen to have a tough plate of herdbeast set before you, the hold might just find that they have an angry trumpeting bronze on their fireheights.

It's not that Heliuth is quick to anger for himself. If some sharp tempered green should happen to make an insulting comment toward him, he will brush it off with a « Ivrylth must be proddy again, I shall have to be there for the chase, she is delightful.» He is a very level headed dragon when it comes to his temper, it's just that when it comes to you, he is so highly protective.

Flights:

Heliuth will be determined to win, putting his all into each and every flight. While at green flights he has a slight advantage over his fellow bronzes, at gold flights he may tend to grow tired a bit faster than the other bronzes due to his size. He will have to learn to win those flights by cunning as opposed to strength. If he happens to lose, he won't be bitter over it, sure in the knowledge that in the next flight he will win. Should he happen to win, he won't trumpet it about the weyr, but you might have to put up with a dragon that falls in love with the green or gold of any flight he wins, at least for a seven day or so.
