The Arrival of the Oldtimers [complete]

Following Rhaeyn and Aevryscienth's unprecedented arrival in Igen, a group of nowtimers returned with the goldrider back to the time before the first Comet, and convinced a large segment of the oldtimer population to return with them to nowtimer Pern.

The Destruction of Crom [complete]

Crom Hold was destroyed at the time of the Comet, leaving behind the irradiated destruction of the Crom Colonies. The main Minerhold has been relocated to Telgar in the aftermath.

The Troubles [complete]

Though history is fragmented, several things have been able to be pieced together, mostly from the series of fateful mini-jumps that were required to get back and forth through the two times — the past four hundred plus turns haven't be pleasant for Pern. Comets fell at the beginning of the tenth interval, and speculated to have fallen again during the eleventh pass, from all reports a decade overlong and agonizing struggle full of erratic threadfalls. These natural disasters reshaped the Pern that has now survived: Crom Hold and the original Southern Weyr and Hold were both destroyed. Food shortages have been known to happen, perhaps contributing to the 10% decrease in draconic sizes from some four-hundred turns before. Widespread deterioration of knowledge also occurred during this time, leading to far less education of the population.

Firestone Shortage

Pern is experiencing rumors of a firestone shortage with Crom's demise. Will the mines be up to the task of providing the necessary resource to save Pern?
